Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the Elan application.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We designed Elan with your privacy as the top priority. **We do not collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data.** This includes:
- Your energy logs and notes.
- Your tasks and their details.
- Your HealthKit or Calendar data.
- Any personal identifiers.
Data Storage
All data you enter into Elan is stored **exclusively on your local device** and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced across your devices via your private iCloud account. We, the developers of Elan, have no servers and no ability to view or access this information.
How We Use Your Data (On-Device Processing)
The app processes your data on your device to provide its features. This processing is done locally and never leaves your phone.
- Energy Logs and Tasks: Used to display your history, provide suggestions, and generate charts within the app.
- HealthKit Data (Elan Pro): With your explicit permission, Elan requests read-only access to your Sleep and Workout data from the Apple Health app. This data is used to generate insights and correlations displayed *only to you* inside the app. This data is never transmitted, shared, or stored outside of your device.
- Calendar Data (Elan Pro): With your explicit permission, Elan requests read-only access to your Calendar. This data is used to display your "Today's Agenda" card *only to you* inside the app. This data is never transmitted or stored elsewhere.
Third-Party Services
Elan uses Apple's native frameworks to provide its services:
- StoreKit (In-App Purchases): All payments are processed securely by Apple through your App Store account. We do not handle or see any of your payment information. We only receive an anonymous token from Apple to verify your subscription status.
- HealthKit and EventKit (Calendar): Your interaction with these services is governed by Apple's own privacy policies and terms.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date of this Privacy Policy.
